Imphal: Unknown armed miscreants attacked a joint team of CRPF and State Police in Jiribam, Manipur. This attack was done by ambush. There is news of a CRPF jawan being martyred in this incident. Let us tell you that this attack was done by the miscreants today i.e. on July 14 at around 9.40 am.
According to the information, a joint team of 20 Battalion CRPF and Jiribam District Police was engaged in the operation together. During this time, the miscreants attacked the joint team by ambushing them. About three jawans are also reported to be injured during the attack. Apart from this, a CRPF jawan died due to bullet injury.
According to the police report, the joint security team was going near Monbung village under Jiribam District Police Station to conduct a search operation related to the firing incident on July 13.
The jawan who died in the attack was a part of the CRPF. At the same time, three policemen of the state including the Sub-Inspector (SI) of Jiribam Police Station were injured. The martyred CRPF jawan has been identified as Ajay Kumar Jha (43) from Bihar.

According to the information, in the last days of April, there has been firing between two armed insurgent groups once again. It was told that the insurgents fired at each other in three districts Kangpokpi, Ukhrul and the trijunction district of Imphal East. During this, 2 people of the Kuki community were killed in the firing.
After this, the police had said in its statement that the deceased were identified as Kamminlal Lufeng (23) son of Paolet Lufeng of Nongdam Kuki under Mafodam police station of Kangpokpi district and Kamlengsat Lunkim (22) son of Thangkhomang Lunkim of Bongjang village of Kangpokpi district. Let us tell you that after 2 days of cross firing between Heirok and Tengnoupal of Thoubal district, violence broke out again in Moirangpurel of Imphal East district, in which armed miscreants from both Kangpokpi and Imphal East were involved.
