Bhilai. While taking action against the person drawing water through Tullu pump during water supply in Mother Teresa Nagar Zone 03 office area of Municipal Corporation Bhilai area, the Corporation seized 12 Tullu pumps on the spot.
Corporation Commissioner Devesh Kumar Dhruv was receiving complaints that some people are like this, during water supply, they are drawing water by installing motor pump, due to which water supply is not being done properly in other settlements. In view of this, the Commissioner ordered all Zone Commissioners were directed to go to their areas every morning and take action against those areas where water is being drawn illegally by installing Tullu pumps. So that all the citizens who reach the last mile during summer get pure drinking water. For this, all the zone commissioners are touring their respective areas in the morning. So that action can be taken against those who draw water through Tullu pump during water supply. Zone no. 3. Near Ward 34 and 35 Milan Chowk, water was being drawn by citizens and businessmen by installing Tullu pump, which was confiscated. There were some people who, seeing the Municipal Corporation staff, hid their pumps, closed the doors and when asked, said that they do not drive motor vehicles. During this action, Zone Commissioner Amitabh Sharma, Executive Engineer Bheshram Sinha, Assistant Engineer Alok Pasee, Deputy Engineer Markam, Krishna Jandyel, Supervisor Shyam Kumar etc. were present.
This action is also going on in Zones 01, 02 and 04 of the Municipal Corporation. Commissioner Shri Dhruv has appealed to all the citizens that the objective of the corporation is to provide pure drinking water to every citizen. All of you should also cooperate, illegally exploiting water by installing Tullu pump is a crime. If caught, action will be taken under the Municipal Corporation Act. There may also be power cuts. It should be remembered that when people initially draw water from the motor, the pressure of the water supply reduces due to which the speed of water flow in the further settlements stops.
