In the video, both the officers are seen sitting with liquor bottles on the table. As soon as they saw the camera, they opposed the making of the video. After the video surfaced, the collector has ordered an investigation.
The matter is of Wednesday afternoon. Revenue officer Durgesh Gupta and former councilor Pramod Patel were sitting drinking alcohol in the encroachment branch of Durg Municipal Corporation office in the afternoon. They had made a man stand outside the gate, so that no one could come inside.
Meanwhile, a journalist standing there started making a video of the place. Seeing this, Durgesh Gupta got up and came out and started refusing the media person. While former councilor Patel was sitting with a bottle of liquor. After this, he picked up the liquor bottle and kept it under the table.
When this matter came to the notice of Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary, she ordered an investigation into the matter. The Additional Collector says that the Corporation Commissioner has the right to take action in the matter. He has been informed. He will investigate it and take action. When Durg Municipal Corporation Commissioner Lokesh Chandrakar was called, he did not pick up the phone.
