Bhilai. Construction of concrete drain is being done for the flow of waste water between Karma Chowk Morya Talkies and Lohia Petrol Pump Krishna Nagar at a cost of approximately Rs. 1 crore 97 lakhs. Earlier, maintenance of this drain was required, during rains, water used to overflow. When it rains heavily, the drain water becomes equal to the water on the road and it is not known where the drain is. This creates the possibility of an accident. Proper cementation is being done so that the drain is constructed properly and its base is strong. From in front of New Basant Talkies, the water of the entire colony comes through this drain and meets the big drain of Kosa Nala. The demand of the public representatives and citizens was that the drain should be constructed, slab casting should be done on it and a lid should also be put on it.
The drain water flows continuously, so there was a problem in the construction of the drain. Construction cannot be done without changing the direction of water flow. That is why the concerned agency connected the water flow to the drain on the other side of the National Highway. That water is going into the drain through the Supella bus stand for a few days. A channel showed that the corporation is wasting water. Whereas the reality is that the flow of the drain has been changed to another direction only to make the drain properly.
Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Pandey, Zone Commissioner Ajay Singh Rajput and the concerned agency went to inspect the construction of the drain. The agency told that the drain cannot be constructed without changing the direction of the drain water. That is why it has been changed, the commissioner asked the agency to do the construction soon. So that the flow of water can be stopped and the small drain can be connected to the big drain as before. The work being done by Municipal Corporation Bhilai is being done for the benefit of the citizens. Corporation Bhilai completely refutes this misleading news of the channel.
