Constable beaten and robbed, three accused arrested
Dhamtari. Three accused of assaulting and looting a constable were arrested. Gaidram Markam is working as DSF constable in SDOP office, who was going to his village Dabgaon after doing his duty at around 17:30 in the evening, when three unknown accused chased the applicant Gaidram Markam near village Karraghati Chameda Tiraha, stopped his motorcycle, took out the keys and one accused put a knife near the applicant’s neck and looted Rs 200/- and another accused injured the informant by stabbing him on his hip and another accused beat him with hand slaps, on the basis of which a report was immediately registered in Nagari police station and a team was sent to trace the unknown accused.
On the basis of questioning of people around the incident site and on the basis of informer’s information and technical evidence, the accused were traced and all the three accused namely Dheeraj Bisen, Hiteshwar Markam, Gyanendra Netam were formally arrested and on the basis of memorandum statement, a black colour scooty used in the incident, Rs. 200 looted, and two knives used in the incident were seized and the identification proceedings of the accused were conducted from the applicant before the Executive Magistrate. A case has been registered against the three accused under crime number 93/24 of Police Station Nagari under sections 118(1), 309 (6) BNS and 25, 27 Arms Act and all the three accused have been sent for judicial remand. In the above action, Police Station Incharge Nagari Inspector Sharad Tamrakar, Assistant Sub Inspector Shriram Patel, Tansingh Sahu Head Constable Ishukumar Sahu Jeevan Dhruv Sampat Sambhakar Constable Yogesh Kumar Sahu Dharmendra Baghel Yogendra Sahu, Jhamel Rajput Meghraj Sahu Kalyan Netam Mahabali Salam Keshav Patel Durgesh Dhruv had special contribution.
