Raipur. Accused Suraj Bai Joshi has been arrested for attempt to murder. According to police, on MLC information from police station Mujgahan, she was sent for investigation to Verma Hospital under police station Mujgahan where the death statement of victim Shiv Kumar Banjare father late Kartik Banjare age 48 years resident of Achholi Hiranagar police station Urla Raipur was recorded by the executive magistrate who told in his statement that accused Suraj Bai Joshi resident of Ravanbhatha who was kept as the second wife of the victim used to refuse to go to the first wife of the victim Rukmani Banjare and used to demand money and asked the victim to keep the property in her name and on not doing so, she used to abuse and beat him.
On 4.01.2025, the victim after meeting his first wife Rukmani went to his second wife Suraj Bai Joshi in village Ravanmatha police station Khamtarai, who started demanding money from the victim and said that he should transfer the property in her name. He refused and slept there after eating food. At around 11.30 pm, his second wife Suraj Bai Joshi, who had already kept the cylinder on, set it on fire due to which the victim got badly burnt and was seriously injured. He is being treated at Verma Hospital, Police Station Mujgahan area. Crime number 56/25 under section 109 BNS was registered against the accused Suraj Bai Joshi in Police Station Khamtarai and action was taken by arresting the accused Suraj Bai Joshi today on 25.01.2025.
