Congress’s big allegation in Ayodhya case, demand for action against trust

Varanasi: The Congress party has launched a scathing attack on the central government and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust over the alleged theft and donations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. Congress national spokesperson Dr. Ragini Nayak held a press conference in Varanasi on Saturday, demanding an independent investigation into the matter. She demanded the immediate dissolution of the trust, a forensic audit of the donations, and a Supreme Court-monitored investigation into the matter.

At a press conference held at Paradkar Bhavan in Golghar, Dr. Ragini Nayak alleged that serious allegations of irregularities are emerging in the donations and offerings collected in the name of the Ram Temple. She stated that complete transparency is essential in this matter involving the faith and belief of millions of devotees.

She questioned whether the funds and offerings collected across the country in the name of Lord Ram were used properly. She said that if any irregularities occurred at any level, those responsible should be identified and action taken against them.

The Congress spokesperson stated that millions of people across the country had contributed to the construction of the Ram Temple, according to their faith and capacity. He stated that the poor, farmers, laborers, women, the elderly, and the youth had dedicated their hard-earned money, savings, and even jewelry for the temple’s construction. Therefore, any irregularities in donations and offerings cannot be ignored.

Dr. Nayak alleged that questions are constantly being raised about this entire matter, and it is now essential to bring out the truth. He demanded a detailed investigation into the functioning of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, its financial transactions, and all arrangements related to donations.

He stated that a forensic audit would clarify how the funds received for the temple’s construction and other works were used. He also stated that a Supreme Court-monitored investigation would strengthen public confidence.

The Congress leader also targeted the central government, stating that transparency and accountability are paramount in matters related to religious faith. He stated that Lord Ram is the center of faith for millions of people and any matter involving this faith should be investigated impartially.

However, there has been no response from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust or other concerned parties. Following the Congress’s demand, the political debate on this issue is likely to intensify.
