Congress to protest today against LPG cylinder price hike

Tamil Nadu: Congress leader Ms. Selvapperundhagai has announced that the Congress party will hold protests in all districts on Tuesday (March 10) to protest the price hike of cooking gas cylinders.

A government statement: On March 8, as Women’s Day was being celebrated worldwide, a piece of bitter news shattered hopes that any positive announcements would be made for women. The price of domestic cooking gas cylinders was increased by ₹60, placing an additional burden on household expenses. The economic impact has already led to a sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities.

In addition, the price of commercial gas cylinders used in convenience stores and hotels has also been increased by ₹114.50. This has also led to an increase in the prices of daily beverages like tea and coffee. Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress, coordinated by its president M. Haseena Syed, will hold protests in all districts on Tuesday (March 10) to condemn the increase in the price of cooking gas cylinders.
