Commissioner imposed fine on woman throwing garbage in the pond

Bhilai. Commissioner Rajiv Kumar Pandey is visiting every morning to make the welfare schemes of the government reach the people. He is talking directly to the citizens, answering their questions. If there is any kind of deficiency, he is directing the concerned officer to resolve it soon.

He is directly contacting the citizens on all subjects like cleanliness system, construction, garden, beautification of pond, sports complex, water supply, road construction etc. He is giving instructions to complete the work by connecting with the citizens. During this, if negligence is being done by the citizens anywhere, then action is also being taken on it.

In this connection, today the Commissioner took stock of the 200 meter road widening in Om Shanti Om Chowk in Zone No. 02. After that, after seeing the construction made in Siyan Sadan and the sports park built next to it, he inspected the area around Housing Board Jawahar Nagar Surya Kund pond. The citizens using the pond were being advised to keep the surroundings clean and not to spread dirt. At the same time, Mrs. Jayanti Jaina was throwing garbage brought from her home in the Surya Kund pond. Commissioner Pandey himself saw that on one side the Municipal Corporation team was advising people to keep the pond clean. On the other side, the woman was throwing household garbage in the pond. He asked to take immediate action on this act.

Jaina said that we do not have money right now, the Municipal Corporation team went to her house and collected a fine of Rs. 500 and gave a receipt. When other people in the locality saw the fine being collected after throwing garbage in the pond, they also became cautious that they will not throw garbage in the pond again.
