Kodagu (IANS) | A college student died in a scooty-bike collision on Friday in Kushalnagar town of Kodagu district in Karnataka. The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Bhavna, a resident of Indira Mohalla, Kushalnagar.
According to the police, Field Marshal K.K. Bhawna, a student of M. Cariappa College, was riding a scooter with her friend near Coorg Cineplex when a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction hit her.
Seriously injured Bhavna was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mysuru where doctors declared her brought dead.
A girl traveling with Bhavana also sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mysuru.
Police seized the bike and took the driver into custody.
Further investigation is on.
