Commissioner of Chhattisgarh, Inspector General of Police, Collectors and Superintendents of Police of other districts along with Collector Dr. Fariha Alam Siddiqui and SP Ashutosh Singh participated in the video conference meeting organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. At the beginning of the meeting, Chief Minister Sai asked the collectors of Bilaspur, Raipur, Durg, Jagdalpur, Korba, Surajpur to provide petrol, diesel, medicines, ration, vegetables, milk and the smooth functioning of law and order to the district in connection with the strike by the vehicle drivers. Took information regarding the operations and arrangements being made by the district administration.
Chief Minister Sai said that the Parliament of India has enacted a law to prevent accidents, careless and drunk driving. About which no driver needs to be afraid. He said that the district and police administration should give necessary explanations to the strikers for the smooth functioning of the basic needs of the public such as petrol, diesel, medicine, ration, vegetables and milk. May the peaceful general atmosphere continue in the district. Police should patrol continuously. Do not violate any law.
Collector Dr. Fariha Alam Siddiqui appealed to all the citizens of the district and said that they should not fall prey to rumors of supply of any kind of petrol diesel. Keep petrol and diesel in the vehicle as per requirement. Do not keep unnecessary storage in the house due to rumour. The district administration has made arrangements for the general availability of petrol and diesel in the district by continuously monitoring all petrol pump operators, depots etc. Superintendent of Police Mr. Ashutosh Singh said that no citizen should violate the law. Do not stop any person or vehicle from moving on the road, do not create unnecessary obstruction. In such cases, strict action will be taken by the police against the concerned person or group.
