Collector Langeh listened to the problems of the people in the public meeting.

Mahasamund. At the Jan Chaupal held in the District Collectorate’s meeting hall, Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh listened attentively to the grievances of citizens from across the district and directed the concerned departments to resolve them promptly. A total of 72 applications were received at the Jan Chaupal, primarily related to basic issues such as drinking water, revenue, social security, labor, encroachment, agriculture, and sanitation. The Collector instructed officials to ensure that all applications are processed on priority and eligible beneficiaries receive benefits under government schemes as per the rules. During the Jan Chaupal, Sheikh Farid of Gram Panchayat Narra submitted an application requesting the digging of a tube well to address the drinking water problem. The Collector directed the Public Health Engineering Department to conduct a site inspection and take necessary action. Kamala Sahu of village Tendukona requested compensation as per the rules for accidental death. The concerned officials were directed to examine the case and provide prompt assistance. Similarly, Hemlal Singh of village Mudhena submitted an application seeking benefits under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Landless Agricultural Laborer Welfare Scheme. The Collector directed the Social Justice and Agriculture Departments to coordinate and ensure benefits after verifying eligibility. Sanjay Dhruv, a resident of Ward Bhanpur, Bagbahara, demanded a ban on illegal encroachment and construction on private land. The Revenue Department was directed to investigate the matter and take action as per the rules. Balram Sen of village Labhra Khurd submitted an application for amendments to his labor registration card, which the Labor Department was directed to make the corrections after examining the necessary documents. Villagers of Gram Panchayat Bamhni submitted a collective application demanding a ban on illegal liquor sales.

The Collector directed the Excise Department and Police Administration to take joint action to control the situation. Doman Lal Sahu of village Kosrangi requested the release of pending Kisan Samman Nidhi funds, while Dinesh Yadav of village Chorbhatti requested financial assistance in accidental death cases. In both cases, the concerned departments were directed to verify the cases and ensure prompt resolution. Phaniya Thakur of village Ghodari applied for construction of toilet and providing gas connection, on which Swachh Bharat Mission and Food Department were instructed to provide benefits as per rules. Collector Langeh gave clear instructions to all the district level officers and said that timely disposal of the applications received in Jan Chaupal should be the top priority. He stressed on maintaining transparency and sensitivity in disposal of applications. On this occasion, all the district level officers including Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Hemant Nandanwar were present. In the Jan Chaupal, the citizens expressed satisfaction over the promptness of the administration towards their problems.
