Collector immediately conducted investigation on farmer’s complaint

Manendragarh. Farmers should not face any kind of inconvenience at the paddy procurement centre. Every procurement center in-charge should take special care of this. Issuing the above instructions, Collector Narendra Kumar Dugga has instructed all the nodal officers to continuously submit the inspection reports of the paddy procurement centre. Collector MCB took prompt action on the application of a farmer of village Semra who reached the Collectorate on Wednesday complaining of irregularities. On the instructions of Collector Dugga, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ashutosh Chaturvedi conducted a surprise inspection of the paddy procurement center located in village Nagpur.

After talking to the farmers who had come to the paddy procurement center here, he examined the paddy being purchased and also examined the paddy that was rejected for being non-standard and took information on all subjects from paddy procurement center in-charge Rakesh Sahu. When the reply was not found satisfactory, he spoke directly to the Assistant Registrar Cooperative Society MCB on telephone and directed to issue a show cause notice to the in-charge of the paddy procurement centre. He said that Collector MCB has clear instructions that as per the standard quality, paddy will be purchased from all the farmers in the stipulated time and strict action will be taken immediately against anyone who is negligent or commits any irregularity during this period. It may be noted that late in the evening, farmer Ramnath of Gram Panchayat Semra appeared before Collector Dugga and lodged a complaint of irregularities in the paddy procurement center Nagpur. The investigation was carried out within an hour.
