Dhamtari. Collector Namrata Gandhi and Superintendent of Police Anjaneya Varshney this morning conducted a surprise inspection of Indoor Stadium, Corn Garden, Open Gym, Itwari Bazaar, Ramsagri Pond, Ratnabandha located in Dhamtari city and gave necessary directions to the officials. On this occasion, Additional Collector GR Markam, SDM Dr. Vibhor Aggarwal, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Vinay Poyam, District Science and Information Officer Upendra Chandel and other officers were present.
During the inspection, the Collector gave instructions for repairing the boundary wall in the indoor stadium, leveling the ground, sprinkling water in the walking track, installing CCTV cameras, repairing the synthetic track and septic tank. Also locking a gate of the grounds and providing space for the gym.
Asked to repair the open gym and install lights. On this occasion, the Superintendent of Police interacted with the children preparing for Agniveer and encouraged them to fill the form and move ahead. During the inspection of Itwari market, the Collector asked to ensure that meat and fish shops are not set up on the main road. He asked for beautification around Gandhiji’s statue near Gandhi Maidan, Hanuman Gudi. Also, after taking information about the facilities available in Ramsagri pond, he asked to repair the open garden and pachari. Also discussed with the ward residents and took information about other arrangements that can be made in the garden. The Collector also gave instructions for security, taking action against anti-social elements, not littering, planting saplings in the garden etc.
While talking to the people in Ratnabandha, the Collector was made aware of the problem of water drainage. On this, the Collector gave instructions to the officers to prepare an action plan and present it. Collector Gandhi asked to install the statue of Vivekananda systematically to provide better transportation facilities. Along with this, Nehru Garden, Corn Pond and other places were inspected.
