CM Yogi: UP has emerged as India’s growth engine.

Gorakhpur: Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Day 2026, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the people of the state through a letter, reiterating his commitment to development, good governance, and a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
In his message on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh, a state with immense potential, has broken the shackles of struggle and deprivation and transformed from a backward state into the growth engine of India’s development.
The Chief Minister said that the rule of law and good governance have been established with firm resolve.
He said, “The terror of the mafia, which thrived under political patronage, has ended, and development has gained momentum. Investors who once stayed away from the state due to law and order concerns are now vying to invest in Uttar Pradesh.”
In his message, the Chief Minister mentioned the achievements in the agricultural sector, stating that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the backbone of the country’s food security.
He said, “Improved systems from seed to market and record DBT payments have increased farmers’ income. Industries have witnessed unprecedented expansion, leading to reduced migration and the creation of new employment opportunities.”
CM Yogi said that the efforts of the double-engine government have propelled Uttar Pradesh firmly towards becoming a significant global player through expressways, railways, metro, airports, IT-software, MSMEs, industrial development, startups, and schemes like One District-One Product.
He said that these initiatives have ensured large-scale employment for the youth of the state.
Regarding women’s empowerment, the Chief Minister said that there has been a historic increase in women’s participation. The government is ensuring financial assistance to girls from birth to marriage. There is a pension system for destitute women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. The expansion of medical infrastructure and health technology has made healthcare services more accessible.
The Chief Minister said that unprecedented connectivity through land, water, and air has given new impetus to trade, tourism, and investment. A golden journey of cultural renaissance is being written from Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura to Sambhal. Today, the brilliance of indigenous products is clearly visible in the state’s festivals.
He also said that the government has lifted more than six crore people out of poverty to achieve the goal of zero poverty. The double-engine government has transformed the state from a backward state to a progressive state, from a state lacking facilities to a state with abundant facilities, and from a neglected state to a state of celebration.
Finally, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “On January 24, we are celebrating Uttar Pradesh Day. This is an opportunity to reiterate the resolve for a developed Uttar Pradesh. This journey of achieving success through collective efforts and unwavering determination will continue without any interruption. He extended his heartfelt wishes to all the people of the state on Uttar Pradesh Day.”
