Lucknow (IANS) | UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that before 2017 the UP board was infamous for cheating. Our government has implemented a copyless examination system. He said that copycat mafia is the biggest enemy of the society. There should be a social boycott of the copying mafia who defile the educational institutions by copying. Chief Minister Yogi addressed the felicitation and tablet distribution program of meritorious students organized at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. During this, he congratulated the students who have achieved success in various board examinations. The administration should also take strict action against the copying mafia.
CM Yogi said that six years ago, examinations were held in the state for three months. Results used to come in 2 to 3 months. It used to take three months to get admission in the next class, then three months time was spent in festivals and festivals. Pathan and reading were rarely seen in educational institutions. He said that the Board of Secondary Education of UP has done this for the first time that the examination was conducted within 15 days and the result also came within 14 days.
CM Yogi said that before 2017, there were not enough teachers in the schools of the state. Our government completed the process of selection of more than 1 lakh 62 thousand teachers of Basic and Secondary Education Council in a transparent manner and gave them appointment letters in six years. Government appointments of so many teachers have not taken place anywhere in the country. He said that the Basic Education Council has made 1 lakh 33 thousand schools very good through Operation Kayakalp.
Yogi said that to make students technically competent, we are giving tablet smartphones to two crore youth. Abhyudaya Coaching has been established for those parents and students who do not have money for coaching. Through this coaching, 23 children were selected in this year’s civil examinations. Similarly, 98 students have been successful in the UPPSC exam as well. He said that Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana is going on for the girls of the state. Schools should make people aware about this so that a large number of girls can take advantage of this facility.
CM Yogi said that the education department is trying to bring a new revolution in the field of education across the state by using technology, very good results will come in the coming times.
He said that there is a need to create awareness about sports among children. Today the drop out rate in schools and colleges has come down. Students appearing in board exams must read the book Exam Warriors written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that India is the only country which has found new opportunities even in the midst of Corona challenge. The National Education Policy is also the result of that period. Our educational institutions must implement the National Education Policy at all costs so that the future of the students can be bright.
A total of 1745 meritorious students from across the state have been honored on this occasion. One lakh rupees, tablet, medal and citation were given to the meritorious. Along with this, buildings of 18 government secondary schools and 125 science laboratories were also inaugurated.
