Delhi/Raipur. Three chief ministers of South India, including the Chief Minister of NDA-ruled Puducherry, did not attend the meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog held in New Delhi on Saturday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attended the meeting and placed issues related to their respective states before the council. CM Say also attended the NITI Aayog meeting.
In the meeting, PM Modi said that if the Center and the state work together like Team India, then no goal is impossible. Congress-ruled Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah did not attend the meeting. Sources close to him said that he was busy with a ‘pre-scheduled program in the state’. He has sent his speech, which was to be read in the meeting. This meeting of the 10th Governing Council of NITI Aayog, held on the theme of ‘From Developed State to Developed India @ 2047’, was chaired by Prime Minister Modi. This apex council of Niti Aayog includes the Chief Ministers of all the states, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories and several Union Ministers. The Prime Minister is its chairman.
In the Niti Aayog meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that accelerating the pace of development of the country is the need of the hour. He stressed that if the Center and all the states work together like ‘Team India’, then no goal is impossible.
