CM Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the newly constructed building of Cooperative Bank Mohndipat

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the state-wide paddy procurement mega festival from farmers at the support price in Chhattisgarh state from Bhantgaon (B) paddy procurement center in Balod district. With this, paddy procurement from farmers has started in the state today, 14 November, which will continue till 31 January 2025. After reaching Bhantgaon (B) Procurement Center, Chief Minister Shri Sai worshiped the electronic weighing and other equipment and welcomed the farmers present there by garlanding them. The Chief Minister congratulated and wished the farmer brothers on the commencement of the paddy procurement mega festival.

In the presence of the Chief Minister, farmer Bhagbali of village Bhantgaon sold a total of 148 quintals and Shri Hariram sold 65 quintals 20 kg of paddy. Farmers Bhagbali and Hariram looked very happy to get the opportunity to sell their paddy in front of the Chief Minister. A total of 06 farmers’ tokens have been cut for paddy procurement on November 14 at the said procurement center. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also inaugurated the new branch building of the newly constructed District Service Cooperative Central Bank Branch Limited Durg at a cost of Rs 30 lakh in village Mohandipat of Gunderdehi development block. Chief Minister Sai earlier garlanded the oil painting of Chhattisgarh Mahtari. At the venue, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp on the oil painting of martyr Birsa Munda and Gahira Guru.

It is worth noting that paddy purchase from registered farmers in Chhattisgarh state at the support price will be done till 31 January 2025. The state government has ensured payment to the farmers in their bank account within 72 hours in lieu of the paddy sold by them. 2,739 have been established for paddy purchase in the state. This year, the total area of ​​paddy sown by 27,01,109 registered farmers for selling paddy is 34,51,729 hectares. There are 1,35,891 new farmers among the registered farmers.
