Raipur. CM Vishnudev Sai has expressed grief over the death of 14 people in the hoarding accident. He wrote on I pray to God to grant peace to the departed souls and provide strength to their families, and also pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.
Let us tell you that there was a strong storm in Mumbai at around 3 pm on Monday. An iron hoarding 100 feet high and weighing 250 tonnes fell on a petrol pump in Ghatkopar. During this time some cars, two-wheelers and pedestrians got hit by it. 14 people died in the accident, while 74 people were injured. Immediately after the accident, Mumbai Police, Fire Brigade, SDRF started the rescue operation. Initially there were reports of more than 100 people trapped under the hoarding. Slowly people were being evacuated. After this NDRF took charge. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also arrived in the evening to take stock of the accident.
