Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of National Science Day. He said that science is not only a medium of technological progress, but is also the basis for developing rational and sophisticated thinking in the society. Chief Minister Sai, while remembering Nobel Prize winner great Indian scientist Sir Chandrashekhar Venkat Raman, said that his discovery ‘Raman Effect’ took India’s reputation to new heights in the world of science. National Science Day is celebrated every year on 28 February in his honor, the purpose of which is to promote scientific thinking across the country and strengthen the role of science in the society.
Progress with science, empowered society with science
Chief Minister Sai said that India has created its own identity at the global level in the field of science and technology. On this occasion, Sai emphasized the need to develop awareness and scientific approach towards science in the society.
He said that the roots of superstitions and stereotypes will remain in the society until we spread logical and scientific thinking among the people. For this, education, awareness and collective efforts are necessary so that an innovation-enabled and scientifically empowered society can be created. Chief Minister Sai said that the state government is continuously working to promote science and innovation. Chief Minister Sai called upon the people of the state to make the society more empowered by adopting science and innovation.
