Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai visited the main event venue during his stay in Surajpur on the occasion of International Older Persons Day and inspected the departmental stalls. During this, stalls were set up by the Social Welfare, Women and Child Development Department, Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, and Health Department. Chief Minister Sai visited all the stalls and distributed material and cash cheques to the beneficiaries present at the stalls. Sai distributed track suits to the students of Residential Volleyball Academy under Sarthak Surajpur, operated with the cooperation of the district administration, and wished them for the future. During this, the Chief Minister distributed nets and ice boxes to 05 beneficiaries from the Fisheries Department and KCC cards to two beneficiaries, a check of subsidy amount of sixty thousand under State Dairy Entrepreneurship to one of the two beneficiaries from the Animal Husbandry Department and KCC card for poultry farming to one beneficiary, electric pumps to two beneficiaries from the Agriculture Department and KCC cards to two beneficiaries from the Horticulture Department. Under the Women and Child Development Department, under the Saksham Mahila Yojana, one lakh twenty thousand rupees were distributed to beneficiary Ruma Tiwari and fifty thousand rupees were distributed as cheque loan to beneficiary group Chetna Mahila Group from Mahila Kosh, two pregnant mothers were given baby shower, Annaprasan of two children, nutrition basket was distributed to an anemia free woman Asha Kushwaha and a malnutrition free child four year old Mayank Vishwakarma. Under the Social Welfare Department, wheelchairs and sticks were distributed to six beneficiaries.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inspected the digital bus of Digital Literacy Campaign under Saksham Surajpur. The Chief Minister also participated in the signature campaign organized for the pledge of cleanliness. He signed the canvas board of the pledge of cleanliness and appealed to the people to join the cleanliness campaign.
