Dehradun. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday flagged off four successful mountaineering expeditions organized by the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi, from his camp office in Dehradun. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the mountaineers involved in the expeditions on successfully completing the expedition and appreciated their courage, discipline, technical skills and team spirit shown in difficult conditions. These mountaineering expeditions also included a joint expedition to Mount Aconcagua. It was accomplished by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi in collaboration with Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports (JIM&WS), Pahalgam. In this expedition organized with the joint efforts of both the institutes, the mountaineers demonstrated their ability and training in challenging high altitude areas.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami described the successful completion of all four expeditions as the result of hard work and dedication of the mountaineers. He said that mountaineering is not only a test of physical ability, but mental strength, discipline, technical knowledge and better coordination with the team also play an important role in it.
