CM Dhami announced the change in the names of various places located in Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts

Dehradun: Taking an important decision today, Chief Minister Dhami announced the change in the names of various places located in Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
The Chief Minister said that the change in the names of various places is being done in accordance with public sentiment and Indian culture and heritage. So that people can take inspiration from the great men who contributed to Indian culture and its preservation.
According to the announcement of the Chief Minister,
In Haridwar district, Aurangzebpur’s Shivaji Nagar, Ghaziwali’s Arya Nagar, Chandpur’s Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Mohammadpur Jat’s Mohanpur Jat, Khanpur Kursali’s Ambedkar Nagar, Indrishpur’s Nandpur, Khanpur’s Shri Krishnapur, Akbarpur Fazalpur are to be named Vijaynagar.
In Dehradun district, Mianwala’s Ramji Wala, Peerwala’s Kesari Nagar, Chandpur Khurd’s Prithviraj Nagar, Abdullah Nagar will be renamed as Daksh Nagar.
In Nainital district, Nawabi Road’s Atal Marg and Panchakkki to ITI road will be renamed as Guru Gowalkar Marg.
In Udham Singh Nagar, it has been announced that Nagar Panchayat Sultanpur Patti will be renamed as Kaushalya Puri.
