CM Chouhan said, we have Modi to win the assembly elections

Bhopal (IANS) | Putting an end to speculation about the ‘face’ of the ruling BJP in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, the longest-serving chief minister of the state, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has said that the party will depend on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for its victory in the upcoming elections. Addressing the State Working Committee meeting, Chief Minister Chouhan said that the party has Prime Minister Modi to win the elections.

Chouhan said, I am sure that BJP will come back to power in Madhya Pradesh, what do they (Congress) have? (to win the election). We have Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile, Chouhan also hit out at the Congress, saying that the old party’s leaders were worried about their newly launched flagship ‘Laadli Bahna Yojana’, so they have promised to bring ‘Nari Samman Yojana’.

He called the Congress leaders slanderers, who used to cheat the public in different guises.

Responding to this, media in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Congress K.K. Taking a dig at the BJP, Mishra said that the ruling party does not have faith in its leader. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for the longest time, but the party leaders and workers do not trust him. The state BJP is passing through a major leadership crisis. We were certain that the saffron party would not make Chouhan its face. Mishra told IANS on Saturday, the Congress has a strong leadership to take on PM Modi in the assembly elections.

Meanwhile, the Congress has made it clear that state president Kamal Nath will be the chief ministerial candidate in the state and the party will contest the elections under his leadership.
