Class 10 student missing in Subarnarekha River in Odisha’s Balasore district

Jaleswar: In a sad incident, a Class 10 student is missing in the Subarnarekha River in Balasore district of Odisha. He is yet to be traced out. He has gone to take bath in the Subarnarekha River Gadasahi Baliapala in Jaleswar Block.

The missing boy has been identified as 15 year old Sahil, the son of Manoranjan Das of Gada Sahi of Baliapala area. He is a Class X student.

As per reports, yesterday at about 1.30 pm Sahil had gone to Subarnarekha River along with his two friends, Kambunath Jena’s son Chandan and Sushanta Majhi’s son Debashis. However, when they were taking bath Sahil’s leg slipped and he was pulled away into the deep water. The other two boys searched for him and came back home. As Sahil did not returned for long his family members searched for him here and there.

Yesterday, the Sarpanch informed the fire services Department. However, before that the villagers also tried to trace out the boy by spreading net in the River but in vain. The Fire Services Department personnel are searching for the boy. Till this news was written, he was yet to be traced out.
