Business Business: The market capitalisation of four of the top 10 companies of the key 30-stock index BSE Sensex rose by a total of Rs 81,151.31 crore last week. ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank were the biggest gainers. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 156.61 points or 0.19 per cent last week. HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India (SBI) were the biggest gainers during the week.
Market capitalisation of ICICI Bank rose by Rs 28,495.14 crore to Rs 8,919,138 crore last week. HDFC Bank’s valuation rose by Rs 23,579.11 crore to Rs 1,282,848.30 crore.
Contrary to this trend, the market capitalisation of Infosys fell by Rs 23,314.1 crore to Rs 780,126.1 crore. The value of Reliance Industries fell by Rs 16,645.39 crore to Rs 18,387,211.40 crore. The market capitalization of Hindustan Unilever fell by Rs 15,248.5 crore to Rs 6,308,066.70 crore and the market capitalization of TCS fell by Rs 10,402.01 crore to Rs 14,913,140 crore. Reliance Industries retained its first position in the list. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, Hindustan Unilever, ITC and LIC.
