Dehradun (IANS) | Former BJP president Bishan Singh Chufal on Saturday submitted his written reply to the ADM’s office after receiving a notice in connection with the purchase of sealed tea garden land on Ring Road. During this there was a lot of commotion in the presence of the media. Party leader Puneet Mittal and lawyers were also present. ADM was not present in the office. Therefore, the petitioner received the notice. The next date in this case has been fixed for July 11. Significantly, on June 13, the court of ADM Baranwal had issued notices to 12 people including Chufal.
In his reply, former president and MLA Bishan Singh Chufal said that at that time the registry was done in his name as the party president. But, now the current State President Mahendra Bhatt should be written about in this regard. It is written in reply- I am not the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party at present. At present, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party is Mahendra Bhatt. Not even an inch of land belonging to me and my family members is registered in any record at any place under Dehradun district. Therefore, in future, any information related to the above land should not be given to me and should be given in the name of present State President, Bharatiya Janata Party Mahendra Bhatt.
In fact, in 2010, the BJP had bought the sealed land of the tea garden for its office. At that time Nishank was the Chief Minister of the state. Chufal was the party president and Dhan Singh Rawat was the general secretary of the organization. BJP leader Anil Goyal also played a role in the purchase of this disputed land. At that time, the party leaders also performed Bhoomi Pujan with great fanfare. The issue of this land, which was bought for crores of rupees, has now become critical. Notices have also been given to many other buyers including the BJP.
Significantly, after receiving the notice in the disputed land purchase case, a meeting of the organization leaders was held in the presence of Chufal at the party office on Friday. In the meeting, it was said to send the notice to the lawyer. But, Chufal said that since the notice has come in his name. So, he himself will go to answer.
The BJP seems to be badly trapped in the 2010 land purchase case. Questions are also being raised regarding the role of those who bought the land with ceiling in crores. Now, the district administration has declared the sale and purchase of land illegal.
