the police recovered 40 grams of Chitta from Sandeep Thakur, resident of Samoli, in vehicle HP 10 3138 near Patsari. After this, Sandeep Thakur was arrested and the vehicle was also seized. When I took history from Sandeep Thakur, he is the brother of Ankesh Thakur. Not only this, their younger brother Chitta is also in the heroine business, who has also served a sentence. After this, the police also seized their property worth Rs 52 lakh.
105 people were arrested under NDPS in Rohru in one year. DSP Rohdu said that during the last one year, 50 cases have been registered under NDPS in Rohru, in which 306 grams of heroin or chitta has been recovered. 90 grams of opium has been recovered in Rohru. Police have also recovered one kilo and 500 grams of hashish. Apart from this, 540 tablets and 68 bottles of manufactured drugs have been recovered.
In this, 105 people have been arrested by the police, out of which 7 are of Nepali origin and 7 have been arrested from outside Himachal, while all the others are people from Himachal. Confirming the case, DSP Negi said that interrogation of the accused and evidence revealed that Chitta is reaching Rohru from Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Most of the chittas from Pakistan are reaching the Pakistan border with Punjab and Haryana. He said that efforts will be made to curb the scam by quickly establishing coordination with Haryana and Delhi Police and ICS officers.
