The state government has expanded the scope of Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana to include packages for cochlear implant replacement and diabetes patients. Approving the proposal in this regard, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has given approval to spend Rs 42 crore.
Four packages have been approved for cochlear implant replacement and one package for insulin pump for type-one diabetes patients. In the first year as a pilot project, it will be implemented in 7 medical colleges at the divisional level.
It is notable that Mr. Gehlot made an announcement in this regard in the budget year 2023-24.
