Chiranjeevi criticized for asking for votes for his brother Pawan

Vijayawada: APFDC president and YSRC leader Posani Krishna Murali has objected to cine actor Chiranjeevi’s call to vote for his younger brother Pawan Kalyan, saying the brothers never worked for the people.

Praising Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for successfully implementing all the welfare schemes, he said the YSRC government has deposited Rs 2.70 lakh crore in the bank accounts of beneficiaries without any smell of corruption or discrimination during the last five years.

Criticizing the Jana Sena, Posani said Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam had won 18 seats during the last assembly elections but failed to solve the problems of the people in the state assembly. How can the megastar ask people to vote for his brother’s Jana Sena in the current election, he asked, adding, “Politically retired Chiranjeevi is now campaigning for his brother.”

Krishna Murali said that these welfare schemes have proved beneficial for the people.
Taking aim at the previous Telugu Desam regime, he said Andhra Pradesh suffered huge revenue losses during Chandrababu Naidu’s rule. “Naidu is known for talking nonsense. He had promised women voters that if he returned to power in the 2014 elections, he would take back the gold they had pledged in banks.
