Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Shantikumari has issued instructions to the higher officials to plant saplings in 389 blocks along the canal banks this year. The CS conducted a special review on Wednesday with Ni Tiparudala, Panchayat Raj, Forest Department officials and Collectors. Discussed on the micro plan designed for cultivation of plants in irrigated lands.
Later, she said that timber and fruit-bearing plants should be grown in 389 blocks along the canal banks, and related plants are available in forest and panchayat nurseries. It was specifically ordered to prepare a model of plantation to be taken up in an area of three acres and create a trenching design. She ordered to start the work from June 15. PCCF RM Dobriyal, Principal Secretary of Panchayat Raj Department Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Commissioner of Panchayat Raj Department Hanumantha Rao and other officials participated in the meeting.
