Tamil Nadu: Minister P. Moorthy stated that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will distribute one lakh land pattas (title deeds) at a government function in Madurai on the 7th.
A program was organized on Thursday to inform the residents of Indira Nagar, Ayyappan Nagar, Ramamoorthy Nagar, Janaki Nagar, Mahalakshmi Kovil Streets, and Devar Nagar in the Solaiyalagupuram and Jaihindpuram areas about the government order to provide land documents and pattas under the Slum Clearance Board Scheme.
Commercial Taxes and Registration Minister P. Moorthy participated in the event and said:
For the past 50 years, residents of the Solaiyalagupuram and Jaihindpuram areas were unable to obtain land ownership documents due to various reasons.
In this situation, based on the demands of the people, arrangements have been made to issue pattas as per the orders of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
Those who do not have pattas are being issued property settlement certificates. Currently, 1,000 pattas are ready. Necessary steps are being taken to gradually issue pattas to everyone on all 21 acres of land in this area.
In this regard, in the camp starting on Friday (December 5th), everyone should find out how much each person has to pay to the Slum Clearance Board and obtain permission for the issuance of the bond.
Everyone should claim their title deed in their name. Officials will remeasure the land and issue the title deeds. Title deeds will be issued to all 2,639 people.
In an unprecedented event in Madurai in the last 50 years, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will distribute one lakh pattas at a government function on the 7th. In the first phase, 50,000 pattas will be distributed in Madurai Corporation alone. He said that pattas will be distributed to everyone in this area by the 31st.
District Collector K.J. Praveen Kumar and several other government officials were also present at the event.
