Representing India in the ongoing International Para Athletics Championship in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Chhoti Mehra of Kawardha, Chhattisgarh has won gold by defeating players from 16 countries by throwing 14 meter discus. After this achievement, CM Bhupesh Baghel congratulated and wished for a bright future.
Let us tell you that earlier, Chhoti Mehra, a differently-abled athlete from Kabirdham district, along with Sukhnandan Nishad, had done wonders in the 21st National Para Athletics Competition organized by the Paralympic Committee of India in Pune. Together, both the players have made Kabirdham district proud along with Chhattisgarh by winning three gold medals and one bronze medal. Divyang player Chhoti Mehra brought laurels to the district by winning gold and silver medals in the sports competition organized at the Indian Open Athletics in Bengaluru. Chhoti had won 2 medals including gold medal.
