Chhattisgarh: Stepfather did not give 200 rupees, so he was murdered

Jashpur news. Police in the district have arrested the son who killed his stepfather. It is being told that the father was asking for money from his step son-wife for drinking alcohol. When a dispute arose, the son killed him with a stick. The incident is from Dokra Chowki area. Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Soni said that a 48-year-old woman works as a laborer. About 20 years ago her husband died of illness. After which she married Pradeep Toppo, who was a resident of Chainpur Jharkhand. Mahesh Ram is the son of her first husband.

On the evening of July 28, Pradeep Toppo took money from home and went to Basti to drink alcohol. He came home after drinking alcohol around 10:30 pm. He started asking for 300 rupees more to drink alcohol. When refused, he started quarreling with his wife and started beating her. Meanwhile, when son Mahesh Ram stopped them from fighting, the dispute increased. So Mahesh got angry and hit Pradeep Toppo 3 to 4 times on his head with a wooden stick, injuring him badly. Due to which he died after some time. In this case, the police have registered a case of murder and arrested the accused Mahesh Ram (25) resident of Kenadand Chundarha and sent him to jail in judicial custody.
