Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A leopard was spotted again on the second day in Waluj Tisgaon, causing panic among the villagers.

Maharashtra: Fear has gripped residents of Tisgaon village in the Waluj area after a leopard was sighted for the second consecutive day, causing panic among farmers and villagers. According to locals, the large cat was first spotted on Friday and again on Saturday entering a field, raising concerns about the safety of people, livestock, and crops in the area.
Farmers working in nearby fields reported seeing the leopard roaming near agricultural land, particularly around sugarcane fields, which provide dense cover. On Saturday, villagers also found fresh paw prints near a water source close to the sugarcane fields, further confirming the animal’s presence in the area. The repeated sightings have heightened anxiety, especially since many people depend on working in the fields during the early morning and evening hours.
Following the leopard sightings, former Deputy Sarpanch Sanjay Jadhav and current Sarpanch Lalchand Kasure immediately informed the Forest Department and urged officials to take prompt action. Environmentalist Sharad Dabhade visited the site and inspected the paw prints, stating that they appeared fresh, indicating that the animal had recently been in the area.
