After the election results, Vijaya Prabhakaran had filed an election petition in the Chennai High Court. In this he alleged that Manickam Tagore had hidden some important information in his nomination papers and correct details were not presented. On this basis he had challenged the election results.
This case will be heard by Justice N. It is going on in Satishkumar’s court. Arguments from both sides are being heard in the court.
Meanwhile, a petition was also filed in the High Court on behalf of Congress MP Manikam Tagore. It was demanded that some of the allegations made by Vijaya Prabhakaran should be dropped and the entire election case should be dismissed.
However, the High Court has refused to dismiss this petition at present and has directed to continue the case for further hearing. The court has made it clear that a final decision will be reached only after a detailed hearing of the case.
After this decision, the stir in political circles has intensified. The legal process is being monitored by both the parties and further hearing is considered important.

The court has not yet made any final comments in favor of either side and is likely to seek detailed answers from both the parties in the next hearing.
