Chennai: In a horrific incident in Chennai’s Tiruvottiyur on Sunday, a buffalo dragged a woman on the road for nearly 500 metres, injuring her. The video of the incident at Somasundaram Nagar 2nd Street has gone viral.
Residents who rushed to save the woman were also attacked by the aggressive animal. The woman has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. The buffalo has been captured and kept at the Perambur cattle depot for observation. No one has claimed ownership yet. This year alone, the Greater Chennai Corporation has captured 1,117 stray cattle.
