The success of South Indian films in the Hindi belt has also inspired producers from other regional films to release Hindi versions of their films. In this sequence, Bengali action star Jeet’s film Changiz is also being released in Hindi.
The film’s trailer was launched with much fanfare in Mumbai on Monday, with Jeet making an entry in a vintage car. Changiz is a gangster film. Sushmita Chatterjee is in the female lead role with Jeet. Rohit Roy and Shataf Figar will also be seen in important roles. The film’s director and producer Rajesh Ganguly, Gopal Madnani and Amit Jumrani were also present at the event.
Trying to win hearts through content
Expressing his happiness to bring his debut film to the Hindi audience, Jeet said, “It is a wonderful feeling to receive so much love and affection from the city of dreams. I am looking forward to the response to the film’s trailer. Released on 21 April is hitting the theatres. We set out with a dream to win people’s hearts through content. I hope we get the same kind of love when the film releases.”
While the film’s lead actress Sushmita Chatterjee said- “My heart is filled with gratitude and happiness today. The amount of love we have received in Mumbai for the trailer launch is beyond my expectation.” Director Rajesh Ganguly says, “Our aim was to bring something new to the audience and showcase Jeet in a new avatar. The trailer launch was a joyous moment for us and we have lived every moment, now waiting for the blockbuster to hit the big screen.”
‘Chengiz’ clash with ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’
The story of the film is by Neeraj Pandey in collaboration with Rajesh Ganguly. Changiz will clash at the Hindi box office with Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Se, which is slated to hit the theaters on April 21 on the occasion of Eid.
