Chardham Yatra: Chardham Yatra will start from this day, date announced, special news for devotees

Tehri Garhwal: On Vasant Panchami, the date for opening the doors of the world famous Lord Shri Badrinath Dham has been announced with Shri Ganesh Puja at Tehri Raj Darbar Narendranagar. According to the auspicious Lagna, the doors of the temple will be opened for the general devotees on 4 May at 6 am with proper worship. Sesame oil will be poured on 22 April for the Mahabhishek of Lord Badri Vishal. On the same day, Gadu Ghada Tel Kalash Yatra will start from the Raj Darbar. With this, the Chardham Yatra will also start formally.

On Sunday, on Vasant Panchami at the Raj Darbar in Narendranagar, Raj Purohit Acharya Krishna Prasad Uniyal announced the date for opening the doors of Lord Shri Badrinath temple after studying the birth horoscope of Maharaja Manujyendra Shah and looking at the condition of the planets and stars.

For the Mahabhishek of Lord Badri Vishal, the local married women will extract sesame oil in the royal court on April 22 under the leadership of Maharani Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah. After that, the people of Dimmar Panchayat will leave for their destination for the Gadu Ghada Yatra.

Meanwhile, the Yatra will reach Badrinath Dham on May 3 after staying at Rishikesh, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Karnprayag, Dimmar village and Pandukeshwar etc. On May 4, after the Mahabhishek of Lord Badri Vishal with sesame oil, the doors of the temple will be opened for the devotees.
