Andhra Pradesh: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed confidence that the region will turn into an economic hub once the construction of Bhogapuram airport is completed. Speaking to the media after taking a bird’s eye view of the area, he stressed the need to build a beach road to Bhogapuram to enhance connectivity. Highlighting the opportunities for industrial development in Bhogapuram, the Chief Minister said that all the necessary permissions were granted during his tenure. He also stressed the importance of enhancing road connectivity from the National Highway to the airport, citing challenges posed by the lack of vision of the previous government. With an initial capacity to accommodate 48 lakh passengers, the Bhogapuram International Airport is expected to provide employment opportunities to the youth of North Andhra, reducing the need to migrate to other regions in search of jobs. The Chief Minister set a deadline of completion of the first phase of the airport by June 2026, and credited Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu for this rapid progress. Chandrababu’s visit to Uttarakhand as part of his district tour reflects his commitment to give priority to development in the region and to fulfil the aspirations of the people there.
