Chandigarh: The second prime suspect in the Sector 10 grenade blast case has been arrested by Punjab Police from Delhi. A team of the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) arrested Vishal, a resident of Dera Baba Nanak, in a joint operation with central agencies. A senior official of the Punjab Police’s counter intelligence wing confirmed Vishal’s arrest. “The suspect is being brought to Chandigarh,” he said. Rohan Masih, another suspect in the Sector 10 blast case, told police that he was promised Rs 5 lakh for carrying out the house attack and he had already received Rs 20,000. A Delhi Police team went to Chandigarh for investigation. The police are also probing the role of other people in the case. Sources said some people living in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, who know Rohan, have been brought to Chandigarh and are being questioned.

A Chandigarh Police team also questioned Rohan, who is currently in the custody of Punjab Police. Some associates of US-based Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia, who had provided hand grenades and weapons and arranged money for Rohan and Vishal, have also been identified. Punjab Police is conducting raids to nab them. Sources said auto driver Kuldeep was nabbed hours after the blast. He has been taken to Punjab for a face-to-face meeting with Rohan. A team went to Jammu and Kashmir, where Rohan had been operating for the past few years. The grenade blast was plotted by ISI-backed and Pakistan-based terrorist Harwinder Singh alias Rinda in association with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) along with US-based Harpreet Singh alias Happy Pasia. Rohan, a resident of Pasia village in Amritsar, was instructed by Pasia to carry out the house attack and was promised money.
