Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued notice to the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mohali, on a plea filed by a police officer. Among other things, he contended that the judicial officer recorded “certain adverse remarks” against him in various orders “which were not required and were not even essential for the decision of the orders”.
Justice Vinod S Bhardwaj, while dealing with a plea filed by police officer Gursher Singh Sandhu against judicial officer Harsimranjit Singh, State of Punjab and another respondent, also directed that the adverse remarks recorded in the orders brought before the High Court shall remain in abeyance till the next date of hearing. Justice Bhardwaj also fixed October 25 as the next date of hearing in the case.
