Chandigarh: 5-year-old child riding a bike dies after being hit by a car

Chandigarh: A five-year-old boy was killed while his father sustained injuries when a car hit a motorcycle in Sector 24 today. The victim has been identified as Arnaav (5), a resident of Sector 24. He and his father Pankaj were going to a nearby medicine shop when the incident took place. Both the victims were rushed to the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH) in Sector 16, where Arnaav was declared dead, police said. A case was registered at Sector 11 police station on the complaint of the victim’s father. The car driver abandoned the vehicle and fled after the incident. Police have seized both the vehicles.

Hit-and-run victim dies

A man who was injured in a hit-and-run on September 13 has died. The victim, a resident of Dhanas, was hit by an unknown vehicle near Aroma Light Point. The victim had sustained injuries and was admitted to PGI, where he died on September 18. A case has been registered at Sector 17 police station.
