Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has stated that thunderstorms and lightning are likely in Tamil Nadu from Sunday (March 29) to April 4.
A press release issued by the central government stated: A low-level circulation is persisting over the South Indian coast. Consequently, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely over the western highland districts and coastal districts of South Tamil Nadu from Sunday (March 29) to April 4.
The weather will remain northern in the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
Chennai and its surrounding areas will experience partly cloudy skies on March 29. It also stated that the maximum temperature will be around 98 degrees Fahrenheit.
