Mumbai (IANS) | Actress Charul Malik, who has been a part of comic shows like ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ and ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’, shares her interest in the genre and why it is the most challenging. He said, no one can make everyone laugh. A comedian can play a serious role but for an actor, who is doing comedy for the first time, it becomes a bit difficult as it shows your real personality. Whenever I see the actors on my sets, they are always laughing or making everyone laugh. It’s difficult.
She also shares her desire to be a part of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. At the moment I am very happy doing comedy. If I get another chance, I would like to go to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
Her favorite movies include ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘3 Idiots’.
The actress said, I watch these films on replay as often as possible. The timing, energy and star cast of ‘Hera Pheri’ is amazing. I can’t wait for ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and a light hearted and wonderful film for ‘3 Idiots’.
Sometimes comedy offends some people and results in trolling and bullying on social media.
She says, sometimes people get affected while doing comedy, some people’s sentiments get hurt and then trolling starts on social media. I don’t understand the mentality of people as all they need is an opportunity to bully someone on social media. But freedom of speech can sometimes become an issue as people cannot talk about anything and everything.
She says that one should refrain from saying anything that hurts the sentiments of any person.
Charul Malik said, we should avoid saying such things which can hurt someone. I think some shows don’t follow it and hence they get trolled. We should see everyone’s point of view and think before saying anything. Web series have taken a lot of freedom of speech. I think it should be made very thoughtfully. Nobody wants stress these days. People like to watch shows where you don’t have to use your brain. That’s why comedy is the best medium.
