Raigarh news. The woman who murdered her son has been arrested. Through Dial-112, Gharghoda Rhino received an event that a woman has strangled her one and a half year old child to death in village Baraunakunda Junadih. Constable Deepak Khalkho working in Gharghoda Rhino informed the station in-charge Gharghoda Inspector Amit Tiwari about the event and left for the spot.
Gharghoda Police reached the spot, inspected the body and the spot, after Panchnama proceedings, the body was sent for post-mortem. Regarding the incident, Sarpanch Sameshwar Sai Rathiya told that the deceased child – Ayush Dhobi, aged about one and a half years (1.5 years) was strangled to death by his mother Mrs. Laxmi Dhobi on the night of 04.06.2024 at around 03.30 am.
Brought. In connection with the incident, FIR No. 66/2024 has been registered against the accused under Section 174 CrPC. Case No. 178/2024 under Section 302 IPC was registered and investigation taken up. Upon questioning the accused, Smt. Laxmi Dhobi, wife of Madhukumar Dhobi, age 21 years, resident of Baraunakunda Junadih, Police Station Gharghodha, District Raigarh (CG), she told that last night she slept inside the house with her child, her husband slept in the courtyard. She had been thinking of committing suicide for several days, thinking that her son would become orphan after her suicide, she first killed her son by strangulating him with her hands. The accused has been arrested by Gharghodha Police for the crime of murder and sent on remand.
