CG News: Theft worth lakhs from an abandoned house, case registered

Bhilai. Khande family was sleeping near Durga Mandir Milawat Para Ward 46 Sharma Body Workshop in Khursipar and the thieves opened the door, cleaned the cupboard and ran away. Khursipar police has registered an FIR of this incident which happened on the night of 7th June and has started investigation. According to the information received, mobile and gold and silver jewellery have been stolen from the house of 30 year old Loop Singh Khande, a contract worker in Bhilai Steel Plant. Khursipar police has taken action against the unknown accused under section 457, 380. Loop Singh told the police that on the night of 7th June at 10 pm, all the people of the house closed the door of the house and went to sleep after having dinner.

At around 1.30 am in the night, Loop’s father Ram Khilawan woke up and saw that the door of the house was open. He woke up his wife Pramila, Loop Singh and daughter-in-law. Everyone saw that the door of the cupboard kept inside the room was also open. On checking the belongings, it was found that the thieves had taken away a mobile phone, 40 tola silver bracelet, a pair of silver anklets, a gold necklace, gold jhumkas, 5 gold lockets, silver bangles, bracelets and Rs 1580 cash along with Aadhar card. It is being said that the thieves entered by sliding the latch of the door and escaped comfortably within two hours after stealing.
