Bilaspur news. The court has sentenced an employee posted in the Railway Zone Office to 1 year in a check bounce case. Also, an order has been given to pay compensation of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand to the victim. In case of not paying the amount, the sentence will be increased by 1 year. Judicial Magistrate First Class Presiding Officer Jaswinder Kaur Ajmani Malik of the District and Sessions Court heard the case. Gurucharan Singh Rajpal, father Mansingh Rajpal (44), resident of Dayalband Shivaji Marg Tikrapara, runs a mobile shop in Budhwari Bazaar.
The accused Taraklen Tepno (50), posted in Railway GM Zone Office Bilaspur, had bought mobile phones from the victim several times. Due to this, the two got acquainted. In the year 2019, the accused had borrowed Rs 1 lakh 34 thousand 200 from the victim in the name of repaying his debt. The accused had claimed to return the money within 2 months, but did not return it even after 2 months. Then Gurucharan Singh was repeatedly demanding the return of the money. Meanwhile, the accused Tarkaleen Tepno returned the cheque of Rs 1 lakh 34 thousand 200 to the victim. On 6 July 2019, Gurcharan Singh deposited the cheque in the bank for payment. The cheque bounced as there was not enough money in the accused’s account.
