Mungeli mungeli news. A case of illegal hunting has come to light in Mungadih of Katghora forest division of the district, where hunters hunted wild animals and fled. The forest department team raided a closed house, in which the meat of wild boar and chital was recovered. Forest Divisional Officer Kumar Nishant had received information about illegal hunting in village Damia of Pali forest area. He directed the Pali Ranger to take immediate action and a team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Forest Divisional Officer Pali.

The lock was broken in the presence of police and meat and weapons were recovered from inside. 38 kg of wild boar meat, 9 bundles of wire, 2 nylon nets, 1 axe, a plastic sack stained with blood, wooden blocks, 16 kg chopped meat of chital in a bucket and 38 kg meat in a sack were seized from inside the house. chhattisgarh
Along with this, 2 bundles of nylon net, 4 horns of chital, 1 chital head weighing 2.5 kg, 2 bundles of electric wire, 1 axe, and a Hero Splendor two-wheeler (CG 10 BH 0370) were also seized. The DFO said that the main accused Mahendra Gandharva, Surendra Gandharva, Mahavir Gandharva, and Virendra Gandharva are all residents of village Damia. Action is being taken against them under the Wildlife Act 1972 and their search is on. The seized wild boar and chital meat will be cremated after post-mortem.
