Durg. Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Durg Jitendra Shukla and under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Satish Thakur, Sadanand Vindhraj, four highway patrolling teams have been deployed in the 40 km stretch from Anjora bypass to Kumhari toll plaza on National Highway 53, which is continuously working to clear the traffic jams on the highway, help the injured in road accidents, put radium behind damaged vehicles, remove cattle from the road, and remove vehicles parked on the road.
Yesterday, on August 19, on the Durg to Raipur route above the Power House Over Bridge, a two-wheeler driver was found sleeping on the road after negligently parking his vehicle on the road. When constables Jitendra and Narendra Yadav, deployed on highway patrolling duty, noticed him while patrolling, they were picked up and brought to the safe cantonment police station and handed over to the cantonment police station for further action. Thus, once again, due to the prudence of the highway patrolling personnel, a major mishap was averted. Traffic Police Durg appeals to all common citizens to help the injured in road accidents without hesitation and their lives can be saved by providing them timely treatment.
